It was founded by the ancient Greeks and has a traditional harbour which serves as the focal point for its long fishing tradition, as well as providing easy access to the beautiful islands that dot the coastline. Nestled around a beautiful horseshoe-shaped bay, dominated by dramatic mountains. It’s a gem of a town with fashionable cafes, restaurants, bars, market stalls and shops. The narrow stone paved streets and terracotta roof tops are rich in history with many historical monuments including the 16th Century Franciscan Monastery and St Mark’s Cathedral in the main square.
